GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM

To train professionals with competencies in strategic and operational management, marketing, commercial management, and international business through the learning and use of qualitative, quantitative, financial, economic, and managerial methods. These are complemented by a market-oriented vision, with a commitment to the environment in a responsible and ethical manner, enabling them to excel in the workforce across areas such as commerce, industry, international business, and consultancy at the local, national, and global levels.

At the end of the course the graduate will be able to:

DOUBLE DEGREE WITH UOL

The programs offered by UPB within the parallel degree scheme, Economics, Financial Engineering, Business Administration and Commercial Engineering have a duration of 4 years at UPB. At UoL (and the UK education system) the Bachelor of Science (BSc) programs have a duration of 3 years.
UoL BSc programs at UPB are composed of 12 courses that must be passed to obtain the degree (4 courses per year). Each course includes the material for the whole year and in May/June of each year the exams for each course are taken. LSE academics develop the exams, which are taken in Bolivia, and are graded in London.
UPB prepares students for these exams as part of the Economics, Financial Engineering, Business Administration and Commercial Engineering curricula; therefore they can obtain both degrees at the end of their stay at UPB.

Communication Lab

This lab serves as a space for production, experimentation, and research in visual studies, transmedia, and audiovisual production.

It provides support for courses with professional equipment and specialized software to create multimedia products and transmedia narratives.

Additionally, it organizes micro-workshops and courses that enhance the skills outlined in the curriculum and acts as a platform for student projects.


Finance Lab

Equipped with advanced technology, this lab allows students to access real-time financial information through platforms like Refinitiv - LSEG, the largest financial database in the world, and RealTrading, where they can execute short-term stock market transactions.

It also features open-source software focused on financial programming.

Additionally, the Financial Engineering program has a partnership with the IMF, the Financial Modeling Institute.

Neuromarketing Lab

The Neuromarketing Lab offers advanced tools applicable to various fields, including marketing, economics, psychology, human resources, and more.

It includes Eye Tracking technology to enhance the visual impact of advertisements, Facial Analysis Software to interpret genuine emotions, and a Voice Module to select the most effective communicative voices.

Additionally, it features an EEG to measure brain activity for creating engaging experiences, as well as the Shimmer GSR, which detects emotional responses.


Business Simulation Lab

This lab is designed to simulate real business conditions, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical and controlled environment for decision-making.

With 20 desktop computers and licenses for two simulators, it offers specialized platforms and software that enable the simulation of various functional areas of a business, including management, finance, marketing, operations, and human resources.
